BioVinc’s research has been selected as a Cover Story in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry
BioVinc is pleased to announce that its research on bone-targeted antimicrobial drug conjugates has been published in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry: Sedghizadeh PP, Sun S, Junka AF, Richard E, Sadrerafi K, Mahabady S, Bakhshalian N, Tjokro N, Bartoszewicz M, Oleksy M, Szymczyk P, Lundy MW, Neighbors JD, Russell RGG, McKenna CE, Ebetino FH. Design, synthesis, and antimicrobial evaluation of a novel bone-targeting bisphosphonate ciprofloxacin conjugate for the treatment of osteomyelitis biofilms. J Med Chem 2017, 60(6):2326-2343 (https://pubs.acs.org/toc/jmcmar/60/6).
A novel bone-targeted bisphosphonate-ciprofloxacin conjugate for osteomyelitis therapy has been shown to be highly efficacious at eradicating bacterial biofilms in vivo. This is a collaboration project with Dr. Parish P. Sedghizadeh at the Dental School of University of Southern California (USC) (https://dentists.usc.edu/dentists/parish-sedghizadeh/)
